Gushwork AI editor interface redesigning an industrial equipment website

Hi, I'm Yash. I design simple and functional experiences for humans (and bots)

For the last five years I've designed digital products end to end, from the first research and strategy to the flows, the interfaces, and the tiny details that decide whether something actually feels right.

Silver disco ball on a black background
Iridescent compact disc
Pair of white dice
Open mouth in black and white
Yellow caution floor sign

Worked with companies like:

Gushwork logo
Nudge AI logo
Leap Scholar logo
Crunch logo
Gushwork logo mark
Leap Scholar logo mark

What makes you different from other designers?

I do not stop at the screens. On my last product I found a data-quality problem that nobody had assigned to me, dug into it, built the fix, and designed how it showed up in the interface, end to end. I care about whether the whole thing works for a real person, not just whether the mockup looks right. (Plus, I make good food)

Are you a designer, or a designer who also does product?

Both, and I think that is the point. I write specs, run research, and think in systems as naturally as I think in layouts. The title on the door matters less to me than owning the outcome, though design is and stays my core craft.

How much experience do you have?

5+ years across, most recently two and a half years as the founding product designer at a funded AI company where I helped build products now used by more than five hundred businesses across the US. Have been part of multiple 0-1 journeys.

What are you like to work with?

Curious, low-ego, and genuinely happy to be a beginner at things, which keeps me easy to correct and quick to learn. I care a lot about the work and very little about who gets credit for it. (I love films so we can yap about it)

What does your process look like?

Strategy → Concept → Design → Build → Refine.

Every phase has a clear purpose, no guesswork, no endless revisions.

What are you looking for in a team?

People who care about the big product calls but also understand that quality often hides in details nobody will consciously notice. A place where design helps shape the product from the start, and where being curious about more than your lane is seen as useful rather than a distraction.

When can you start?

In less than 30 days of notice.

Are you open to relocating?

Yes, open to relocate anywhere.

How do we reach you?

The fastest way is to DM me on LinkedIn or email at binaniyash.work@gmail.com. I read everything and I reply with intent and not with ready made templates.
